The Deaf community recently lost two beloved leaders: Merv Garretson, 89, best known for his work at Gallaudet University, the NAD, and WFD; and Vic Galloway, 84, the first Deaf superintendent of the Texas School for the Deaf and former Director of NCOD at CSUN. (Of course, they knew each other.) Their lives were colorful, eventful, and their achievements are legendary.
